Create a zen space in your home to provide a comfortable atmosphere conducive to rest, rejuvenation, and relaxation.
Zendalatives: Create a "Happy Corner"
1) Clear out distractions Clear the space to get rid of anything that will pull your attention away from zen thoughts or actions (i.e. electronics).
2) Add artwork with nature-inspired themes. Originals or prints can be hung directly on walls or in zen frames. Zen spaces typically have zen art since it represents zen philosophy, which is the whole point of the zen space to begin with.
3) Add rustic elements. You can use stones as table decor for a more rustic feel. Additionally, you can place zen stalks or crystals throughout your zen space if you want to ground it in zen culture.
4) Light it up! Add floor lamps and pendants with low ceilings and soft lighting to create a cozy atmosphere by using black lights and candles where the zonable.
5) Place zen accessories in zen spaces .Zen accessories such as bowls, vases, and jugs will add zing to zen spaces with their zest for life and color play. Zen is about simplicity and zen décor tends to be rather simplistic with a few choice objects or pieces of art.
