Overcoming Body Insecurities

When I first started exercising consistently, I was embarrassed by my problem areas aka the rolls on my back. It stood out like a sore thumb and made me feel insecure about myself. After a few workouts and a self-love pep talk with myself, I learned to love my imperfectly perfect body. Here are some reasons you should too.
EMBRACE the woman in the mirror. The one who has problem areas, can't do a push-up, or feels like she's always falling short. LEARN to love YOUR body while working on your health goals by changing how YOU view it through these 7 steps: 1) find your motivation 2) start with small changes (baby steps) 3) focus on what you can control 4) be kind to yourself 5) take care of your mental health 6) give back to others 7) surround yourself with supportive people.
These 7 things that have helped me love myself today and every day.
We all have things we love and hate about our bodies. The key is to focus on the good, not dwell on the bad (and there will always be something). If you can find your motivation for why it's important that you take care of your body - whether it's so that you can live a long life with loved ones or because fitness gives you joy- then setting small goals and finding support from friends and family will become easier than ever before!
